Family Pictures at Wind & Sea July 5, 2010 at 7:31 pm

On Saturday I met Katie and her whole family who came from Arizona.  We went to Wind and Sea Beach to take some pictures of everyone.  This year San Diego’s “July fry” is taking a back seat burner and we are still stuck in June gloom.  The beach was GLOOMY and COLD!  This is 4th of July weekend, where is the sun!?!?!  Needless to say I did not dress appropriately.  In Santee it was nice and sunny before I left.  San Diego has quite the temperature change once you get to the beach.  It amazes me that people go swimming in our cold water on days like that.  In retrospect, I am glad it was over cast instead of having harsh sun.  When the sun is shining at the beach, it is better to do pictures late in the afternoon, so it worked out to our advantage.  No harsh shadows!!! 🙂

Anyways, enough about the weather…  I adore this family!  I met Katie, Mike and her kids through my husband’s Uncle and I usually see them at various family functions.  It is so much fun watching their family grow and meeting the rest of their family.   I enjoy watching and capturing that on film.  Here are some of my favorites!
