Tom and Anondi’s Pre-Wedding Couple Pictures November 7, 2014 at 6:11 pm

Tom and Anondi will be getting married tomorrow!!!  I can’t wait!  Today I met them to take a few pictures, since it will be a pretty hectic day tomorrow and they wanted to make sure they had some time to focus just on them.  Most couples never leave enough time for that, so I was happy they wanted to do it the day before.  We met at the temple and it was just a beautiful day.  Can’t wait for the big day tomorrow!

Tom and Anondi’s Engagement Pictures September 8, 2014 at 9:45 pm

Last week, I had the opportunity to photograph Tom and Anondi.  I was so excited they asked me to do this for them.  Tom is my brother from another Mother.  Actually, he is my sister’s cousin in law, but when he moved in with my sister and her husband when he was about 12 or 13, we pretty much forced into my family.  We didn’t really give him a choice! 😉  My brother and Tom quickly became best friends and I… well, I tolerated him at first.  He eventually grew on me and he quickly became a 2nd brother to me.  He practically lived at our house if I remember correctly.  He just became a part of our family.  A little over a year ago, Tom decided to move to San Diego, and I couldn’t have been more excited.  I don’t have a lot of family, (from my side) out here, so having him here was a blessing.  Plus I wanted my children to know their Uncle Tom and they definitely do now.  Jackson just absolutely adores him and he is quickly getting to know and loving Anondi as well!  When Tom told me he met Anondi, I kept thinking, what a perfect match!  She is exactly who he is looking for and who he needs!  Don and I knew Anondi from our singles branch, back before we were married and I always adored Anondi.  Tom is so attentive and caring with Anondi and she is so good with Tom as well.  They seem to put each other first before they think of themselves and I love seeing that.  I don’t think I have ever seen him this happy.  It truly warms my heart to see that and I adore Anondi even more for that!  I can’t wait to see what the next 40 or 50 years bring for these two!  You guys are awesome!  Can’t wait for the wedding in a few months!

This is the BEST picture from the entire shoot.  I get the serious case of the giggles every time I look at it.

Austin & Brittany’s Engagement Photos December 11, 2010 at 11:17 pm

This afternoon I met Austin and Brittany at Wind & Sea beach in La Jolla to do their engagement photos.  It was absolutely gorgeous down there… until the fog rolled in and ruined our perfect sunset. :o(  After the shoot I was driving back home and I noticed that the further away I got from the coast, you could see the prettiest pink sunset.  Too bad the fog at the beach literally swallowed the sun!  Oh well, what little time we did have was awesome!  And a HUGE thank you to Scot Adams for being our “sun,” (also known as my flash stick holder.)  He was so helpful and did a great job.  Anyways, here are a few of my fave’s from today’s shoot.

This is about the point the sun was swallowed by the fog.  One minute it was there and the next it completely disappeared and dropped about 10 degrees!  Good thing Austin and Brittany are from Utah, this was nothing for them. :o)

Scott & Stephanie December 5, 2010 at 7:22 pm

Yesterday I got to spend part of my morning with Scott & Stephanie at Seaport Village.  Originally we were supposed to go to Balboa Park, but due to an event it was too difficult to do down there, despite us going much earlier before the event was supposed to start.  Lesson learned!  It turned out for the best though.  I was excited to shoot at a new location I don’t usually go to.  Seaport Village is a fun place and was surprisingly not crowded at all.  Balboa Park took all of San Diego’s tourists apparently! :o)  Anyways, it was a fun morning and perfect weather.  What more can you ask for!

Trail Dust Town November 29, 2010 at 6:23 pm

My cousin in law Trish’s family was all together for Thanksgiving and of course couldn’t pass up an opportunity to take pictures.  We went to Trail Dust Town in Tucson, AZ while I was out there visiting for Thanksgiving.  I hadn’t been to Trail Dust Town in YEARS.  I think I had my senior pictures in High School done there.  It brought back so many memories!  It’s a fun little place.  Our original location was Mount Lemmon and I have been dying to take pictures in the mountains for quite some time now.  I’m still itching to do some mountain pictures so if anyone wants to do some let me know… 😀  Our back up location was still great and lots of fun.

Family Pictures at Legoland October 16, 2010 at 6:37 pm

On October 2nd we went with our dear friends Patty, Caleb and their two girls to Legoland.  While we were there I took a few snap shots of them hanging out and a few portraits of the family.  Patty is pregnant right now and is due next month.  I also wanted to get a few pictures of her beautiful pregnant belly before her little dude makes his debut.  On a side note Legoland really isn’t that exciting (for adults) but for small kids it is a lot of fun.  We just enjoyed hanging out with good friends and of course I had fun taking pictures.  🙂  The girls were total hams as always (love those girls!)  I left out those pictures on this blog, but Patty I will be sure to give those to you.  🙂  Here are a few of the portrait pictures I took of them.

She is glowing!!! I love how happy you look in this picture Patty.

Nicole, Justin & Peanut (since Nicole won’t divulge her name until the baby is born!!!) July 18, 2010 at 10:14 pm

So my “adopted” sister Nicole is prego and the family couldn’t be more excited for her!!!  When I met Nicole she was my brother in law Jon’s girl friend.  Nicole was pretty much adopted into my husband’s family and has remained part of the family ever since.  Years later, Nicole and Jon have remained best friends and she still comes over to see us all when she is in town and sometimes we get to have her on holidays.  🙂  She recently got married to Justin and they are pregnant with their first child.  Their little girl is due in October and we all can’t wait to meet her!  So today I was so excited to take maternity pictures of Nicole and her husband.  Plus it was fun getting to know her husband a little better which is the newest member of the family.  He is so great with Nicole.  He is so caring and loving towards her.  I can already tell he is going to be an awesome Dad as well.  Here are a few of my favorite pictures from today’s shoot.

Justin is a firefighter and as we were taking pictures this fire truck randomly came by.  Talk about perfect timing!

In this shot Nicole was a superstar!  a group of people came by and were so excited about her baby “bump”.  It was adorable!

When Nicole and I were talking about the photo shoot Nicole mentioned to me that she wanted to do pictures with her showing off her gorgeous pregnant body.  If I looked that good while I was pregnant, I would be showing it off too!  You go Nicole!  With her permission she let me show some of these on my blog.  I just loved how intimately these pictures turned out.  I only wanted to show a few so here they are.

You are one hot Mamma Nicole!  This picture is definite model material!  🙂

Graduation and Family Pictures May 2, 2010 at 9:23 am

On Friday I finally got to photography my sister’s family.  It’s about time!!!  I have been doing photography for awhile now and this is the first time I have photographed their family!  They are not big picture people…  It took , my sister’s husband to graduate to get these pictures done. :o)  I said what’s going to be the next big event to make you guys take pictures!?!?!  So my brother in law is graduating this Month from SDSU.  It has been a long road and he finally did it.  We are very excited for him and his family.  I know it has been a sacrifice for everyone during this long journey so we are very proud of him.  We went to San Diego State University to take their pictures.  I have never been there before and I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the campus was.  Here are a few of my favorites:

I especially loved this picture for the meaning behind it.  The message I was trying to portray was the family behind my brother in law.  Through his whole college education his family was behind him 100% supporting him along the way.  They are truly a close tight knit family.

Truth be told, this was how most of the shoot went.  I had to delete a lot of pictures because at least one of them was being silly in the picture.  So this one I got ALL of them being silly.  This is their personality so we had to show it.  I love my nieces and nephews.  They are always good for a fun picture.
